Pacific Foot & Ankle Center is a locally based podiatry practice in Laguna Woods, California. Led by David J. Petersen, DPM, the practice has provided foot and ankle care to patients in Orange County and Los Angeles since 1998.
Dr. Petersen established his career in Southern California after completing his residency in podiatric medicine and foot surgery and a two-year fellowship in advanced foot and ankle surgery.
Over the years, the practice has continued to welcome patients of different ages, backgrounds, and activity levels. Some patients visit for a new concern, while others return to the practice as their foot and ankle needs change over time.

A patient’s symptoms are only one part of the complete picture. Medical history, daily routines, work, exercise, previous care, and personal goals can all influence how a foot or ankle concern is evaluated.
For this reason, appointments begin with a conversation. We want to understand what the patient is experiencing, when the problem began, and how it affects everyday life.
After an evaluation, the findings are explained in clear language. Patients are encouraged to ask questions, discuss their concerns, and understand the available options before making decisions about their care.
Our goal is to provide useful information and thoughtful guidance without making the patient feel rushed or overlooked.
